The girls and I had a day out today, eldest is home for just a few precious days from Paris, more of our visit later.
The sat nav took us on another white knuckle ride over all the back roads, which were flooded in the rural areas. It doesn't matter what you put in the programming, the thing just goes its own way.
When the torrential rain stopped and the sun put in an appearance there were lots of rainbows around. I did think, though, that it was meant to be a pot of gold at the end. Not a sheep...
Did you check?...maybe it was a golden sheep!

Ah well, at least you had rainbows and your girls.

But wool comes from sheep and surely that's just as good as gold!

I've said it once and I'll say it again ( leaving a comment here is rather tricky lately!), I'd rather like some sheep . Maybe learn to spin .....

The comments are still going for moderation before publishing, I don't really like doing this but needs must! So bear with, I do publish them as soon as I can.

Hmmm, wish I could say yes to that with real conviction!

Why on earth didn't you just trot over that field and try digging under the rainbow's end sheep? Missed a trick there, I fear!

We all know what's generally to be found under sheep...

When I first got an allotment, I got hold of some books by some early organic gardeners, Lawrence and Cherry Hills. If I remember correctly, "liquid gold" was recommended for activating compost heaps. Maybe it was that then at the end of the rainbow... though I wouldn't fancy collecting it from a sheep.
