I adore bullfinches. The last two pictures I've bought have both been paintings of them. I couldn't believe my eyes at the Bridgewater factory shop on Saturday- there they were; mugs with the discontinued bullfinch on them. Joy.
It was a funny old visit. Very female biased clientele, lots of Cath Kidston bags. Now, I have been buying CK for years, but Saturday just about finished me off. Time to put them into hibernation I think.
On the way home, at some traffic lights, I noticed the old man in the car behind me. He was looking out of the side window, and continued to do so for the several miles he followed me. Most disconcerting, as I couldn't work out how he was navigating and not running into me. Maybe his lady wife was shouting directions.
I did wonder at one point if he had some condition that rendered him unable to look forwards but, no, he did it occasionally. Actually It got to the point where all I could do was look in the rear view mirror, just checking what he was doing!
I am most uncomfortable today as I had a small accident yesterday. I whalloped my hand, there was a crunch, and the first knuckle is massive and very sore. Fingers crossed it isn't broken. Not that I can cross them at the moment.
