I'm pretty sure I now know what sort of weather lupins prefer... This is the same plant as the other impressive spike, which got blown over but continues to grow sort of along and then up!
It was a glorious morning, before it started to rain, so I took the opportunity to do a bit of gardening and take some photos to at least show it doesn't rain all day every day. Only almost.
A noisy blackbird baby was stalking me round the garden, followed by anxious parents. They aren't 'my' birds so don't know they're more than safe here. And the other exciting news (if you're that way inclined) is that goldfinches are nesting in the damson tree in the front garden. Crow continues in the laurel.
Only two more weeks of school left until I can down tools and get on with some of the projects I have lined up. I'm so knackered at the end of the day at the moment I haven't been up to much crafting. Except a little mindless knitting that hopefully will be finished soon...
