I got a bit lost on my way somewhere recently and ended up parked near this house while I got my bearings.
This is just a piece of the side elevation and you can see that at least four openings have been bricked up. There were more, and they don't even seem to be on the same levels.
I can't help wondering what it used to look like in its original state. I wonder that about a lot of buildings round here with their so called improvements.
The house next to ours, owned by Minimalists (or at least wannabes) was completely gutted and most of the interior walls removed. All the perfectly good sash windows were ripped out and nasty brown replacements put in. They passed planning permissions, just, but boy are they uggerly. Oh, and they're going rotten...the only partially rotten window in our house is a replacement, put in by the previous owner and on The List to be re-replaced, funds permitting.
The decorator came last night and gave a shockingly low quote to finish the bathroom. Just awaiting his reply to my query of how quickly he can get round here. That, of course, may be the catch.
